Leagues 2026/27

The following leagues are planned to run through the season, and we have capacity for more teams in all of them. If you don’t have enough players to form a team with then let us know on the Membership Form and we will make sure that others know that you would like to join a squad. We also have spaces to play on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings (Diamond & Sapphire Leagues) where we only take individual entries as we seed and draw the teams.

Monday 10am Triples

Monday 2pm Australian Pairs

Wednesday 10am Triples

Wednesday 6pm Sapphire League (alternate weeks) (Drawn Teams)

Wednesday 6pm Banbury Super League (alternate weeks) (Drawn Teams)

Friday 10am Australian Pairs

Saturday 10am Triples – Diamond League (Drawn teams)

Team and Individual Entries must be in by Thursday 1st October, the leagues will start in the week of 12th October.

Please click here to register a team, or to register for the drawn leagues.

Roll-Ups & Club Nights

We have three Club Roll ups each week open to members and non-members alike. We also have three Club Nights.

Roll ups

You should arrive at least 15mins before each session and after buying your ticket at Reception     and give your session receipt to the organiser of the day in the Bowls Hall (usually seated at the table as you enter down the steps).

You will be randomly placed in a team. This is intended for all bowlers so don’t worry if you have only just started, you will find support and encouragement amongst those you play with. This is also a good way to meet other club members.

Tuesday at 1.30pm

Wednesday at 2.00pm

Friday at 2.00pm

Club Nights

We have three club nights, all running from 6.00pm to 9.00pm, included in our programme for this season. Each is informal and open to all members of BCIBC. They follow different formats and will offer a range of informal roll ups, league play, coached and game improvement sessions.

Monday Club Night - Alan Roche hosts this evening which is a series of informal games with teams being drawn on the evening and featuring a refreshment break during the session.

Tuesday Club Night - Paul Stirton is the host of this session that will feature a programme of fun informal games, roll ups and game improvement sessions.

Thursday Club Night - Dawn Hewitt will host this session and the evening will feature a league of teams made up from those who elect to play regularly from the start of the season with reserves and teams being added over the season.

New Competition format

The Competition Entry Form (available online from the website) should be completed by Monday 19th October. For the drawn competitions we expect all of the rounds to be played on fixed dates, primarily on Friday evenings with a provision for players/teams to agree to play at an earlier time (but NOT a later time) than the scheduled date.

The new open competitions will have separate Conditions of Play and players will be expected to arrange their matches in accord with the Conditions of Play or forfeit their matches.

Finals will be scheduled in the finals week of the season (5th–11th April 2027) with a concentration of matches being on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday and earlier days in the week being used to avoid clashes where players are in more than one final. We expect to publish a schedule of all dates before commencement of the season.

In all competition matches (not singles) both teams will be required to attach the receipts of their match fee to the scorecard and post their scorecard into the box provided. In singles the marker will be expected to receive both players receipts and attach them top the card before posting it in the box.

Please follow this Link to register for any of the Competition.

Friendly matches with other clubs 2026/27

We play a good range of other Indoor Bowls Clubs through the season. These are open to Members only and are both home and away. We try to make sure that all those who sign up will get a chance during the season.

We especially welcome new players in these matches because they give a chance to develop your game and gain confidence, as well as gaining the experience of playing at other clubs which is helpful if you enter County and/or National Competitions and are drawn to play at other clubs.

We also welcome our youth players as they build their experience and get the opportunity to play alongside older players.

CLUB DRESS

We want to ensure that our sport is accessible for all and so we try to be as flexible as we can be about dress. All footwear must be clean, worn only indoors, and be as smooth soled as possible.

In leagues, friendly matches and competitions we ask all players to wear navy blue trousers, skirts or shorts and our Club shirt.

Our club colours and logo have been updated and so Club shirts are prefered for friendly matches and competitions but otherwise a plain white sports shirt without any logo is acceptable. Club shirts can be ordered using this online link
