Last Charity Match of the Season this Sunday 16th March Theme: Spring / Flowers

This is the last Charity Match of the Season. We would encourage you all to sign up by adding your name on the list situated on the notice board, by the end of this Friday, or call/text Ian (Club Captain) so you don’t miss out.

There will be number a of opportunities for you to win some nice prizes:

Spring / Flowers Themed Best Dressed (Please note Fancy Dress is Optional)
A Bottle of Bubbly for each player in the team of the Highest Scoring Rink
An Easter Egg for each player in the runners up to the Highest Scoring Rink
Prize for the Winner of the Spider Game
And of course the famous raffle, a chance for us all to win a fun prize or two

It is £5 entry and £1 for the Spider. All funds raised will be going to Katherine House Hospice and BYHP. These are the two well worth charities that we have been raising funds for throughout the season. So please come and join in, whether it be playing or as a spectator cheering on your favourite team in this last Charity Match of the season.

Please pass any donated prizes for the raffle to Julia.

Good News!

£10 Shirt Refund Extended

We are pleased to inform you that the Committee have agreed to extend the £10 refund for your new club shirt until the end of March. This the last chance to order yours.

If you would like help in ordering your shirt please speak to Harry, Julia, Carol or Andy who will be willing to help, or email them.

“My New Bowls”

I got my brand-new bowls today

Now I can really play

Well I thought I could when I bowled my first wood

Without a hitch it went straight in the ditch

What a pain, I’ll try again

I heard a voice

“Just stand straight, take off some weight”

“Speak for yourself, I’m not fat”

“Just want to reach that flaming jack”

“Get off that subject” said my friend

“Just bowl that bowl and make it bend”

I tried again and lo and behold

My new bowl had just struck gold.
